Very unique surroundings and accommodation Service was excellent even room service very quick food was amazing The hotels support some charities such as Embark and Island Crafts
No bad experiences as such, we found the a.c a little noisy but this may have been also due to the position of the unit
Wonderful hotel, unique setting. Highly recommmend.
BBeautiful setting and villa friendly reception great nature and nicely laid out common areas space and light in the rooms.
Slow service in restaurant and long waits for golf carts. Layout of resort relies on them so bit annoying. Especially when entertaining friends. Steak and coffee both served too hot and spilled on me a little. Attention to these details is expected in a hotel in this price range.
the location is breath taking... i forget all the life stress
it is not a children friendly hotel, not safe for children below 15, especially with crocodile belwo your feets,,, i hated the delay in pickups while the sun is hot and i have my child, very weak wifi signal in the rooms, i paid 360 USD and there was no fruite basket!!!
The location and wild life are stunning. The individual villas are very private.
Thee journey here is quite long so be prepared. It does not feel like a 5 star hotel especially owing to the rather mediocre food and restaurant atmosphere . Overall it is very expensive for what itnis.
The peaceful envrionment, the comfort of the villa/chalet, beautiful scenery and surroundings, there was nothing to not like!
The location and tranquility.
We were in a room which had an open air bathroom which was amazing but it was also open to the adjoining bungalows bathroom. Luckily we didn't have neighbors (toilet noises) to endure. Also when returning to the room at night, the bathroom sink was covered in bat guarno. Not very pleasant.
The location on the jungle, the lobby on the water, stylish rooms. Wine celler and food are nice. Beautiful decorated.
We got a standard room very breautifu but facing a road and guards. After asking the manager to cancel our booking and get the buggy to leave they upgrade us to a better room.
Nature, wild animals and birds, fantastic lake-side bungalow.
Staff is friendly and very nice
Hotel room could have been more luxurious. Only 1 restaurant to eat all your meals in.
This hotel exceeded our expectations by far. The tranquility of the environment is breathtaking...
In the Marsh Villa, we had two single bed mattresses next to each other. This was a bit uncomfortable as we kept rolling to the centre of these two beds. Maybe the mattresses should be turned from time to time to prevent this...
Great rooms beautiful interiors , friendly service. Very relaxing.
Absolutely stunning place. In the middle of marches, yet no mosquitoes! Worth staying at least 3 days to properly enjoy the place and relax. Upgrade to Forrest Dwelling totally worth it.i
# I would prefer more local food choices, but what was offered, was # great! Few minor things not worth much deliberation (like the live # music in the restaurant in the evening, and the "elevator" music for # breakfast)
Outstanding hotel, in the middle of nature. We were in a standard room which was also amazing. Nice common pool. Overall a great place to stay a couple of days and to combine trips with relaxing by the pool.
The price for a driver was a little expensive (compared to the other places we went) but food and drinks were not expensive.
We liked the design of the villas and the common areas: restaurant, library, swimming pool. Prices of restaurant for dinner were fair.
The standard room is unacceptable. Very dark room, no view at all, it looks like a garage. "Rustic" has limits especially when we are talking about a 170USD room from the Small Luxury Hotel of the World chain. Worst of all is the open air bathroom: it is totally open (no window or mosquito net) with two dirty ponds surrounding the bath tub, so at night when you switch on the bathroom lights you get overrun by millions of insects, frogs, geckos... It was impossible to use the toilet or the shower with so many insects, our towels and personal effects were covered by ants and mice or geckos' drops, it was disgusting. We left this place as soon as possible. We didn't expect it would be like camping !
